Mobile service

We come to you — most hybrid battery installs take about 30 minutes

No tow. No ride to arrange. No day off work. We bring the diagnostic equipment and the pack to your driveway or your workplace, and you get the car back working the same visit.

Why mobile is genuinely better for this repair

It isn't a convenience gimmick. For a car with a failing hybrid battery, it removes the worst part of the whole experience.

No tow bill on a car that barely runs

A hybrid in reduced power on the I-10 in July is exactly the situation you don't want to drive out of. We come to it.

You keep your day

Most people lose a full day to a shop visit — drop-off, a ride, waiting, pickup. This is a driveway appointment.

You watch the work

You see the block voltages, you see the old pack come out, you see the cooling path. Nothing happens behind a workshop door.

No storage, no queue

Your car isn't sitting in a lot for three days waiting for a bay to open up.

How the appointment goes

  1. 1

Tell us the year, model and symptoms

Call, text or send the form. We work out what's likely, what we'd bring, and whether the car needs to move at all.

  2. 2

We come to you for the free diagnostic

Block-level pack testing, 12V test and a cooling check — done in your driveway or your work parking lot. You see the numbers.

  3. 3

    Written quote, on the spot

Reconditioning, replacement, a 12V, or something else entirely. You decide with the data in front of you.

  4. 4

    Install, usually the same visit

Most installs take about 30 minutes. Old pack removed, cooling path checked, new pack fitted, codes cleared, system verified and road tested before we leave.

About that 30 minutes: Typical for models where the pack is directly accessible, such as the 2004–2015 Prius. Larger SUVs and minivans need more interior disassembly and take longer — we'll tell you what to expect for your specific vehicle when you book.

What a new pack actually gets you

Honestly, rather than with a number we'd have to defend.

A healthy hybrid battery puts the car back to how it drove before: the engine shuts off at stops again, the electric assist comes back on acceleration, and the fuel economy the car was designed around returns. Toyota and Lexus hybrids routinely run well past 200,000 miles, and Arizona bodies don't rust — so for a car that's otherwise sound, a pack is usually the difference between replacing the battery and replacing the car.

What we won't do is promise you a specific number of years or miles. Too much depends on heat exposure, how the car is driven, and whether the cooling path is kept clear. What you can hold us to is the written warranty, not an estimate — which is why we put it in writing before any work starts.

Annual reconditioning — the part most shops don't offer

Once a pack is healthy, keeping it that way is far cheaper than replacing it again.

We offer a yearly hybrid battery service: the pack is tested block by block, the balance is checked and corrected, and the cooling path is inspected and cleaned. It catches a single weak block while it's still one block — before it drags the rest of the pack down and turns a small job into a full replacement.

In this climate that matters more than most places. Heat is the main thing that ages these packs, and a restricted cooling intake quietly makes every summer harder on the battery. More about the annual service →

Mobile service questions

How long does a mobile hybrid battery install take?
Most installs take about 30 minutes once we're on site. Typical for models where the pack is directly accessible, such as the 2004–2015 Prius. Larger SUVs and minivans need more interior disassembly and take longer — we'll tell you what to expect for your specific vehicle when you book.
What do you need from me at the location?
A reasonably level place to park with room to work around the car, and shade if there's any going. That's genuinely it. We bring the tools, the safety equipment and the pack. If the spot isn't workable we'll tell you before we set out rather than after.
Can you do it at my workplace?
Usually yes, and it's the most popular option — you get the car back working without losing a day. Check with your building or property manager first if it's a shared lot.
Is mobile service more expensive than a shop?
No. The published ranges on our pricing page are what you pay. You're not paying extra for the convenience of not arranging a tow, a ride, or a day off work.
Is it safe to work on a high-voltage system in a driveway?
With the correct procedure and equipment, yes — the system is fully de-energised before anything is touched, and that step is not rushed. What we won't do is work in an unsafe spot. If the location doesn't allow it to be done properly, we'll say so and arrange something else.
What if my car won't start at all?
That's one of the best reasons to use mobile service — no tow needed. Call 623-323-0737 and describe what it's doing. Very often the car that 'won't start' needs a 12V battery, which we can test and replace on site.
Do you charge for the trip?
Not within the Phoenix metro. Based in the Phoenix area, with mobile service across the Phoenix metro and travel throughout Arizona. Trips outside the metro are subject to appointment availability and may involve additional charges.

Car won't move? That's exactly what mobile service is for.

No tow, no ride to arrange. Tell us where the car is and what it's doing, and we'll come to it.
