Warranty
You get the warranty in writing, before work starts
Not read out at the counter, not promised on the phone. On paper, with your quote, so you know exactly what's covered before you decide.
Our coverage
- Term and mileage
- 12 months from the date of installation
- Reconditioned vs. replacement
- 12 months from the date of installation
- Is labour included?
- Labor is included for the full 12 months — a covered repair costs nothing.
- Prorated or full replacement?
- Not prorated. Coverage is the same on day 364 as it is on day one.
- Transferable?
- Stays with the vehicle, not the owner. If the car is sold, the remaining coverage goes with it.
- What's excluded
- Damage from collision, flood or water intrusion, fire, rodent damage, or work done to the pack by someone else. Faults elsewhere in the hybrid system that we did not install and did not cause are also outside it — we will tell you plainly if that is what we find.
- How a claim works
- Call or text us. We come back out and test the pack the same way we did the first time. If the fault is covered, we repair or replace it at no charge.
Fix the cause, or the warranty won't save you
A pack fitted into a blocked cooling system lives the same short life the last one did. That's why the cooling intake is inspected and cleaned as part of every battery job we do — a warranty claim is a poor substitute for the repair being right the first time.
Warranty questions
Why won't you promise a specific number of years?
Because nobody can honestly predict it. Heat exposure, driving pattern, how well the cooling path is maintained and how the pack was built all change the outcome — and in Arizona the heat variable is a big one. A written warranty is a commitment you can actually enforce. A verbal lifespan estimate is not.
When do I get the warranty terms?
In writing, with your quote, before any work starts. You should never authorise a hybrid battery repair without them — from us or from anyone else.
Does a reconditioned pack carry the same warranty as a replacement?
Typically not. Reconditioning costs less up front and generally carries a shorter term, because some of the modules in the pack are original and still ageing. We'll tell you both terms so you can weigh the trade-off properly.
Does independent repair void my Toyota or Lexus warranty?
Independent repair does not automatically void a manufacturer warranty. That said, if your vehicle is still inside Toyota's or Lexus's hybrid component coverage, start with the dealer — that repair may be covered and you shouldn't pay for it yourself. We'll tell you if we think that applies to you.
