Vehicle coverage

Hybrids we service

Toyota and Lexus have their own page each, because pack size, location, cooling design and access differ enough to change the diagnosis and the quote. Honda, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan and Chevrolet hybrids are covered on their own service page.

Toyota hybrids

Toyota Prius

2001–2022 (US) · Hatchback / liftback

The car we see most. Generation-specific diagnosis for XW20, XW30 and XW50 Prius.

Toyota Prius battery service →

Toyota Prius (2010–2015, third generation)

2010–2015 (XW30) · Liftback

The most common hybrid in Arizona, and the one we work on most. Deep detail on the codes, symptoms and decisions specific to the XW30.

Toyota Prius (2010–2015, third generation) battery service →

Toyota Prius c

2012–2019 (US) · Subcompact hatchback

The small one. Lower-voltage pack, different part, and a different quote from a standard Prius.

Toyota Prius c battery service →

Toyota Prius v

2012–2017 (US) · Wagon / MPV

The wagon. Third-generation drivetrain, more weight to move, and a cargo area that blocks cooling.

Toyota Prius v battery service →

Toyota Camry Hybrid

2007–present (US) · Midsize sedan

The most common non-Prius hybrid here. Trunk-mounted pack, and chemistry that varies by trim.

Toyota Camry Hybrid battery service →

Toyota Corolla Hybrid

2020–present (US) · Compact sedan

Newer, so most are still young. Mostly here for cooling checks and pre-purchase inspections.

Toyota Corolla Hybrid battery service →

Toyota Avalon Hybrid

2013–2022 (US) · Full-size sedan

Camry Hybrid mechanicals in a bigger, quieter body — which hides symptoms longer.

Toyota Avalon Hybrid battery service →

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

2016–present (US) · Compact SUV

AWD hybrid SUV with an under-seat pack. Family use makes cooling blockage common.

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid battery service →

Toyota Highlander Hybrid

2006–present (US) · Three-row SUV

Higher-voltage pack, heavy vehicle, three rows of cargo blocking the cooling intake.

Toyota Highlander Hybrid battery service →

Toyota Venza Hybrid

2021–2024 (hybrid-only generation, US) · Midsize SUV

Hybrid-only SUV, still fairly new. Mostly diagnosis and cooling checks rather than replacement.

Toyota Venza Hybrid battery service →

Toyota Sienna Hybrid

2021–present (hybrid-only generation, US) · Minivan

Hybrid-only minivan. Heavy, family-loaded, and the cooling path is easy to bury under cargo.

Toyota Sienna Hybrid battery service →

Lexus hybrids

Lexus CT 200h

2011–2017 (US) · Compact hatchback

Prius-era drivetrain in a Lexus body. Familiar symptoms, more careful interior work.

Lexus CT 200h battery service →

Lexus ES Hybrid

2013–present (ES 300h, US) · Luxury sedan

Camry Hybrid architecture in a quieter body — symptoms hide well, so watch the MPG.

Lexus ES Hybrid battery service →

Lexus RX Hybrid

Lexus RX Hybrid battery service →

Lexus UX Hybrid

2019–present (UX 250h, US) · Subcompact luxury crossover

The newest and smallest. Mostly diagnosis, 12V work and factory-coverage checks.

Lexus UX Hybrid battery service →

Lexus NX Hybrid

2015–present (NX 300h and later hybrid NX, US) · Compact luxury SUV

RAV4-related hybrid SUV in premium trim. Family use, so cooling gets blocked.

Lexus NX Hybrid battery service →

Other hybrid makes we service

Hybrid battery diagnosis, reconditioning and replacement across the major makes. Same free diagnostic, same mobile service, same written quote before any work starts.

Honda

Insight · Civic Hybrid · Accord Hybrid · CR-Z · CR-V Hybrid

Older Hondas use the IMA system, which is genuinely different from Toyota's — a mild hybrid that can't drive on electric alone.

Honda battery repair →

Ford / Lincoln

Escape Hybrid · Fusion Hybrid · C-Max · Maverick · MKZ Hybrid

Architecturally closest to Toyota of any non-Toyota hybrid, which makes them familiar territory.

Ford / Lincoln battery repair →

Hyundai

Sonata Hybrid · Ioniq · Elantra Hybrid · Tucson Hybrid

Lithium-polymer packs. Reconditioning is far less often viable than on a Toyota NiMH pack.

Hyundai battery repair →

Kia

Optima Hybrid · Niro · Sorento Hybrid

Shares Hyundai's hybrid engineering. Long factory battery warranties — check yours first.

Kia battery repair →

Nissan

Altima Hybrid · Rogue Hybrid · Pathfinder Hybrid

The Altima Hybrid used a Toyota-derived system, which makes it the most familiar of the Nissan line.

Nissan battery repair →

Chevrolet / GMC

Malibu Hybrid · Volt · Tahoe and Silverado hybrids

The Volt is a plug-in with a large lithium-ion pack — call before assuming standard pricing applies.

Chevrolet / GMC battery repair →

Before we quote parts, we check your VIN

Toyota and Lexus have used more than one battery chemistry within the same model year on several of these vehicles. Confirming against the VIN is how we avoid ordering the right-looking part that doesn't fit your car.

About vehicle coverage

My vehicle isn't listed. Can you still help?
Very likely, yes. Toyota and Lexus get their own pages because they're the bulk of our work, but we also service Honda, Ford, Lincoln, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan and Chevrolet hybrids. Call with the year and model and we'll confirm what we can do for your vehicle.
Why do you need my VIN?
Because Toyota and Lexus changed battery chemistry within some model years — the same model and year can have a nickel-metal hydride pack in one trim and lithium-ion in another. Checking the VIN avoids ordering a part that doesn't fit your car.
Do plug-in hybrids work the same way?
Not really. Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime use much larger lithium-ion traction packs with a different service and cost picture. Call before assuming a standard hybrid quote applies to a plug-in.

Not sure what your hybrid needs? Start with the free diagnostic.

We come to you, test the pack, the 12V and the cooling, and you get a written quote before anything is decided. No charge, no obligation.
