We buy hybrid battery cores
For shops, dealerships and fleets in the Phoenix metro. If you are paying someone to take dead packs away, you are paying to give away the thing we most want to buy.
Why we pay more than a scrap buyer
A scrap buyer prices a pack by weight, because metal is all they can sell. We rebuild packs, so we are buying the modules inside — and a pack with most of its modules still holding capacity is worth many times its scrap value to us. That is the whole difference, and it is why the same pack is worth more here than it is anywhere that cannot use the parts.
It also means we cannot quote by the pound. What a core is worth depends on how many modules still test well, which is not knowable until it is on the bench. We give you a range up front, confirm after testing, and tell you before anything changes.
Got a better offer? Bring it.
Show us a written offer on the same packs and we will match it. Written, because a number remembered from a phone call is not something either of us can check — an email or a quote sheet is all it takes.
Getting paid: on the spot once the packs are tested. If you are sending cores regularly, a monthly account against agreed rates is usually less work for both of us than settling pack by pack — say so when you call.
What we buy
Nickel-metal hydride hybrid packs — Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Ford, Mercury, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Chevrolet, GMC and most others. Those are the packs we rebuild, so those are the ones with real money in them.
Lithium packs from plug-in hybrids and EVs are a different question. We replace those as sealed assemblies rather than rebuilding them, so a lithium core is not worth the same to us — ask before you set one aside for us.
Who this is for
Independent repair shops
You quoted the job, pulled the pack, and now disposal is a line item eating the margin — or a pallet in the corner nobody wants to deal with.
- ·We pay for the pack instead of charging you to take it.
- ·One pack or a stack of them; no minimum to start.
- ·If you are replacing the pack, we can supply the new one as well and take the old one on the same visit.
Dealerships
Trade-ins arrive with dead packs, service pulls more, and storing high-voltage cores on site is a compliance headache before it is a money question.
- ·Scheduled collection so cores do not accumulate.
- ·Paperwork for every pack that leaves, so the chain of custody is documented.
- ·Anything we cannot reuse goes to a licensed recycler rather than back to you.
Fleets and delivery operators
Hybrids bought in a batch tend to need packs in a batch, which means several cores at once and a vehicle off the road for each one.
- ·Volume handled together rather than one ticket at a time.
- ·We fit replacements across the Phoenix metro, so the car does not travel.
- ·Buyback on the old packs offsets the replacements.
Getting them to us
Drop it off
By appointment at our Phoenix shop, any weekday. One pack or a pallet — there is no charge either way, including for packs that turn out to be worth nothing.
We collect
Free across the Phoenix metro, with no minimum — one pack is enough to get us out. We run mobile installs there daily, so a collection usually rides along on a trip we are already making.
Ship them
From outside the metro. High-voltage packs travel as regulated freight, so talk to us before booking anything — getting the paperwork wrong is expensive and it is avoidable.
Packs we cannot use
We still take them. A hybrid pack is hazardous waste and should not go in a skip — anything we cannot rebuild goes to a licensed recycler. There is no charge for that, and no obligation to sell us the ones that are worth something.
Setting up as a regular supplier
If you generate cores every month, call and we will agree how collection and payment work for your volume rather than doing it pack by pack. That conversation is quicker on the phone than through a form.
Selling a single pack from your own car instead? That page is here.
Tell us what you have
Roughly how many packs, which vehicles if you know, and where you are. We'll come back with a range.
Got dead packs stacking up?
Tell us roughly how many and where you are, and we'll tell you what they're worth and how to get them to us.
